The earthquake, tsunami and the nuclear issue

I believe that no one who does not know the disaster in Japan. Mexico is a country that has suffered earthquakes always and every time I hear news of an earthquake, either on our continent or another, we are many who think in 1985, when Mexico City was unfortunate place. Now the Japanese are suffering a situation without precedent: not only the earthquake was very strong, but also the terrible tsunami that caused additional damage and casualties have not yet calculated. As if this were not enough, the damage to a nuclear power station is resulting in potential problems radiation and a nuclear crisis. The whole world is reconsidering the future of this alternative source of energy.
It breaks my heart to see the situation in Japan: the homeless, families devastated, not knowing whether their relatives are still alive or not, the lack of food and fuel, cold weather and snow no leaves falling. All photos show a huge area of \u200b\u200bdestruction and a devastated population. This caused an extremely difficult situation unprecedented media transmission from the Emperor of Japan had never before made a speech to the nation via television. It considers the current situation as the worst since the Second World War and with good reason. There is talk about five years to remedy.
is true that we are living in extraordinary times. We can not blame the climate change by the earthquake, the earth movements are unpredictable and vary in strength and type. Our world is moving and adjusts all the time. However, it is interesting to note that natural disasters are getting worse and it is obvious that we are experiencing times of great changes that afflict the world.
In the case of Japan the earthquake - a natural event - caused the tsunami, another natural phenomenon. The two events together caused the damage to the nuclear reactor in Fukushima, northeastern Japan. The timing of the news went around the world all started to think about possible consequences and the issue of risk nuclear energy back into the public mind. Mexico has one nuclear power plant in Veracruz state and not dependent on this energy to auction off the country's electricity network. Other nations, like France or Japan , they rely heavily on nuclear energy to maintain a clean source of electricity generation that is connected to the grid across the country. It is a highly controversial issue after what happened in Japan will have ramifications for the nuclear industry around the world.
Many people fear nuclear power and some people are totally convinced the disadvantages are too strong to offset their advantages. The environmentalists clean nuclear energy because its production does not cause carbon emissions. This is true, but the issue of storage of highly radioactive waste dumped by nuclear power plants has always been disturbing, besides the issue of countries whose use of nuclear energy has apparently warlike purposes. The situation is that all you have to do with this topic is now concentrated in Japan, ironically the only country that has been attacked by not one but two atomic bombs to end World War II in 1945. It's hard to talk at once for world peace and nuclear energy, although Japan has been very responsible with nuclear development: it is a peaceful and orderly that definitely does not deserve the disaster that is currently experiencing.
Today we have to help the Japanese as we can through monetary donations. We must be aware of the news to find what they need most, what kind of food or we can send materials. Agony and pity are in our prayers and meditations. Japan is strong but terribly shaken and affected by their current situation. No doubt in time will survive this crisis, but it is a long, hard, road ahead.
